Terms & Conditions for High Efficiency & Dual Fuel Heat Pump ($1,000)

  1. Existing residential customers that are converting to a heat pump system may qualify (upgrades to an existing heat pump system does not apply).
  2. Customers must have a current electric utility account that is not more than 30 days past due.
  3. Customers can submit for the rebate approval within 180 days of conversion completion.
  4. Work must be completed by a licensed HVAC Contractor.
  5. The new heat pump must be the current primary heat source and must service at least 80% of the home’ conditioned living space (this rebate does not apply to a ductless system).
  6. The heat pump must be a new, air-source split or packaged unitary heat pump with an AHRI (Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute) Standard Rating Cooling Capacity of 65,000 BTU/hr. (5.4 tons) or less, be listed on the AHRI Certified Directory, and must meet the current minimum Department of Energy (DOE) Efficiency Standards listed on the website: Energy.Gov. If installing a new Geothermal or water sourced heat pump, please call to verify eligibility terms.
  7. Customers are only eligible for one rebate per electric utility account regardless of the size of system.
  8. Rebate program terms and availability are subject to change at any time.

Terms & Conditions for Ductless Heat Pump ($500)

  1. Existing customers that are converting to or adding a supplemental ductless heat pump system may qualify.
  2. Customers must have a current electric utility account that is not more than 30 days past due.
  3. Customers can submit for rebate approval within 180 days of installation.
  4. Work must be completed by a licensed HVAC Contractor.
  5. The ductless heat pump must be a new, AHRI (Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute) rated ductless (mini split) system, be listed on the AHRI Certified directory, and must have a minimum 20 SEER Rating.
  6. The Ductless heat pump must employ an inverter driven outdoor compressor unit and a variable speed fan for indoor blower and be fully ductless.
  7. Customers are only eligible for one rebate per electric utility account regardless of the size of the system.
  8. Rebate incentive is not offered to customers replacing or upgrading a ducted heat pump system.
  9. Rebate program terms and availability are subject to change at any time.

Details

Complete and submit online application within 180 days of installation. Allow 4-6 weeks for processing. A check will be issued to the name of the utility account holder.

Frequently asked questions

If I have a gas furnace, but I want to get a supplemental ductless heat pump, do I qualify?

  • Yes! You could qualify for the $500.00 rebate if the system meets the established requirements and efficiency standards.

What if I only have a wood burning stove or propane heating system and want to convert. Do I qualify?

  • Yes! Unless you already have a heat pump system you may qualify for one of the rebates, it just depends on which system you go with.

Can I get more than one rebate?

  • Yes, if you have a separate utility account and separate meter, making note that the rebate will be issued in the name of the utility account holder of where the second heat pump was installed.

What if I already installed a heat pump system before the rebates were offered, can I still qualify?

  • You may qualify for the rebate if the system was installed within 180 days of the rebate program being offered. (XXXXXX, XX, 2022)
